American Baptist Women's Ministries (AWBM) is made up of
ladies in the church who get together for certain ministry
activities and times of fellowship. They regularly meet the
first Wednesday of every other month at 1:30 p.m. They also
initiate other ministry projects involving the whole church.
Some of the activities of ABWM include the following:
White Cross
White Cross is an outreach that helps deliver supplies to
American Baptist missions projects. First Baptist Church's
White Cross regularly helps out programs in Montana, as well
as Kodiak Baptist Mission in Alaska.
Missionary Encouragement
ABWM helps facilitate encouragement of the missionaries supported
by First Baptist Church. Different missionaries are focused
on from time to time, and ABWM helps members of the congregation
send letters to and otherwise support these missionaries. |
